Don't do this!
After bisque firing some pots made with local clay, I decided to include three in a cone six glaze firing. Not a good idea. As the pictures show we had a total meltdown. This was Ohio blue clay obtained from 15 ft below ground level during the excavation for a new farm pond. I don’t think I can save the shelf, but I did save the stilts. Oh well! We live and learn!
